I only have my iPhone with me and no laptop so your going to have to wait till later to see how the meeting went. Although positive for what I was looking for!
Talked some numbers through with Tim which was good but just not sure they work enough yet! :-(
You've gotta be realistic!

Day 2
I've not done much today. Em got up at 4am so you think I'd have more time but when I'm that tired things just don't quite go according to plan.
I had a lovely time looking at the equipment for the small indoor play area as I know for the type of coffee shop I'm hoping for families are important and that means my play area is, which is good as that's a bit I'm really good at. I know it's bit too far ahead of my self but the other bits I needed to do first I was waiting for people to reply and I suppose this keeps the dream alive.
There's a property I've been looking at for a while so my friends sending me the telephone number as they live near it and I don't at the moment so following that up is my job for tomorrow.

Day 1-post 2
Well it has taken me a few hours. Em has watched too much peppa Pig but I have done the costings for tea and coffee for in and take out. I still had to make a few estimates especially price of coffee but I have over estimated so it should be ok!
Found a great website to help - www.howtostartacoffeeshop.co.uk and although obviously has it's own brands was REALLY useful!
I have also set up a meeting with absolute coffee to meet and view their products and discuss prices, options etc. They were really nice and rang me back offering free advise on what to look for etc. Sounds like a good starting point to me. So a meeting on Wed in Sheffield, with my 2 year old.
Now here's the only problem, I don't like coffee! I love tea, i love coffee shops and although I love the smell of coffee I really don't like it. Ummmmmm...

Day1
Well, today I start to review how possible setting up a coffee shop.
Sounds ok right, well if you don't look at the current economy or success rates of new businesses, but this is something that keeps nagging me and telling me to try it so I am. Maybe at not the most possible time, I have very nearly 3 year old and I am 6 months pregnant. My partners runs his own start up technology businesses which always involves its ups and downs, currently a down and he's pissed at me for not doing anything, because looking after your children just don't count. Arrh!
Well now you know about me I better get on with it!
I have tried to do this before but every time I start I get stuck. I all seems so simple but it's just not!
After a conversation last night with the other half he said I needed to look at financials backwards to see how much I needed to sell and whether that was possible. He's very good at these things he has to do them all the time but I know I need to do this on my own. Sounds ok right, but then you try to break down a how much a cup of coffee is going to cost and I get bogged down in the type of coffee I am going to sell to know how much each cups going to cost and coffee machines etc. I just lose the rhythm of what I'm trying to do!
So todays job sounds simple but it's not - Find out the break down of what a cup of coffee / tea will cost to make!
Let's go!
